The Cardiovascular Service Line Administrator will be accountable for all daily operations and financial performance for the cardiology and cardiovascular surgery physician practices. Manages the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.

  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization use strategic thinking to improve patient care and efficiency across they system and shape future strategy for the service line
  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
  • Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
  • Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
  • The Administrator will work closely with the Director of Physician Services, Hospital Administration and physician chairmen on the Cardiovascular Service Line vision and strategy
  •  Develop and implement a cardiovascular service line business plan, driving quality outcomes and processes while improving profitability of cardiovascular service line and responsible for program development and growth including planning, implementation and assessment of strategic plan to improve quality, and viability of services
  • Work with the employed cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons and associated staff toward integrating practice operations with the hospital. Additionally mobilize and direct employee and physician teams to develop and achieve service line goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • 5 years of management level experience required.
  • Experience in analyzing competitive healthcare environment and developing and implementing strategic recommendations for improved market share in a dynamic industry.
