Providence Heart– Laurel Street- Central Billing Office is  looking for an experienced  Billing Coordinator to join their team.

Providence Medical Group's team of cardiologists are known throughout the Midlands for providing top quality cardiac care, and not just by the patients and other physicians. Billing Coordinator Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for basic day to day functions to include charge posting, payment posting, filing of claims- electronic and hard copy.

  • Responsible for patient interactions with patients regarding their account. Always referring difficult cases they are unable to resolve to the Billing Manager and /or Office Manager/Practice Administrator.

  • Responsible for Daily Cash and Encounter form balancing based on their individual processing of daily work.

  • Responsible for denial management and alerting Billing Manager of suspect denials, following up to maintain highest collection standards.

  • Assists the Billing Manager with special projects as needed.

Job Requirements

Minimum Work Experience

One year of experience as a supervisor in medical officesetting preferred.

Two years in a billing environment.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Some College preferred.

Coding certificate orequivalent experience preferred.
