Job Description:

1.     Interpret progress notes, operativereports, discharge summaries, and charge documents to determine servicesprovided and accurately assign CPT and ICD-10 coding to these services.

2.     Review patient logs and other reports ofclinical activity to ensure billing is captured for all patients.

3.     Monitor and follow up to ensure allservices that can be billed are captured and coded for billing.

4.     Utilize end-of-day systems to complywith Revenue Cycle Guidelines.

5.     Review all physician documentation toensure compliance with third party and regulatory guidelines.

6.     Work in conjunction with the AccountReceivable staff to answer all inquiries regarding coding and billing.

7.     Perform duties and job functions inaccordance with the Revenue Cycle Guidelines.

8.     Perform other related duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED is required.  AAPC Certification, preferred.
