We want you on our team...Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, an 18 minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a PRN, Registrar to 'float' between multiple clinics within Clark Physician Practices.  This person will greet patients and families at the practice front window; collect patient demographic and insurance information; patient visit co-pay and deductibles at Point of Service; quickly and efficiently expedite the practice visit registration process and provide a positive first impression of the physician practice to the public.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy
  • Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients and/or family members
  • Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization as necessary.  Follows physician practice revenue cycle guidelines to determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles
  • Requires critical thinking skills, detail oriented with decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be flexible with work location assignments

    • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
