Performs a variety of technical diagnostic examinations associated with the operation of x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs of designated portions of the body. Observes all regulations concerning radiation protection of patients and staff. Triages patients upon entry into the clinical area and works directly with providers to process necessary orders. Is responsible for oversight of the Lab area and maintains required CLIA documentation. Performs necessary blood work as ordered by providers.
Minimum Education: Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology required
Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of imaging coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) American Hearth Association (AHA) requiredRegistered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)required
Licenses: Licensed by the VA Department of Health as a Radiologic Technologist required
Minimum Work Experience: Previous clinical experience preferred
