Health Support Center

The Cyber Threat Analyst is responsible for assisting hospitals with performing threat analysis to assist LifePoint Health in defending cyber threats.  While working on the Health Support Center’s (HSC) Information Security team, this position will research and assess cyber threats to ensure appropriate action plans are managed, monitored and completed based on existing LifePoint policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. 

Assist with evaluating Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) information security risk assessments, vendor security assessments, and Hospital Support Center security control assessments.

Ensure timely resolution of information security incidents and remediation.

Act as subject matter expert for technical deliverables / workflow and oversight for strategic Cyber projects and initiatives to enhance and improve Cyber Threat Intelligence capabilities and maturity.

Evaluate complex business and technical requirements and communicate inherent security risks.

Assist with Information Security processes and outcomes for interrelated information technology security incidents, recovers, potential intrusions, and system abuses.

Write security status reports to provide system status, report potential and actual security violations and provide procedural recommendations.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:HighSchool diploma or equivalent with 3 years of (technology or cyber risk) ORBachelor’s Degree.


Experience:Minimum of 2 years with relevant experience.

BusinessMathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in allunits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Abilityto compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.

AdvancedTechnical Computer Skills -- Utilize complex computer operations (intermediate/ advance programming, relational databases, and operating systems) andadvanced features of software packages.

ModerateCommunication -- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. Maytrain others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentationsto department or middle management.

Noise level in the work environment is typical for anoffice and/or hospital environment.

Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
