POSITION SUMMARY:


The Director, Oncology Services is responsible for providing subject matter knowledge and expertise, strategic planning, guidance and support, and education and training of appropriate HSC and hospital personnel for assigned functions and service lines.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Responsible for leadership, communication, consultation, regulatory compliance and strategic planning for Oncology Services including Clinical Research.
  • Translate business vision and strategy into operational tactics and builds organizational infrastructure required to achieve goals.
  • Utilize analytical and quantitative methods to enhance and improve processes, systems, and effectiveness for all affiliated hospitals and services by assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems and developing recommendations/ solutions which support the strategic priorities and the Company's mission and vision.
  • Partner with senior executives, sales and marketing executives and service line management to identify and enable growth strategies.
  • Responsible for developing business cases, including financial component, for new program development and capital projects.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders, physician leaders and quality leaders to ensure goals are set with clear quality standards and a system for tracking and reporting selected metrics.
  • Provide direction for policy and procedure development, training, and leading practices for use within the facility, delivers hands-on training, and assists in implementing standardization, utilization, integration and optimization plans.
  • Conducts service line assessments of specific hospital systems as need / required and provides written report to include opportunities for improvement and identification of leading practices.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree Healthcare related business program.
 
Experience: Minimum 10 years’ healthcare experience with 5+ years’ experience in service line operations and development relative to Oncology and Clinical Research
 
Certifications: Oncology Certified Nurse preferred.
 
Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN) or Radiologic Technologist R.T. (T) preferred.
