Frye Regional Medical Center

  • The Nursing Administrative Director has 24-hour responsibility for patient care units, including hiring, performance appraisal, discipline, budgeting, policy and procedure development, and overall leadership of the units.
  • Develops programs to assist unit staff in providing patient centered care measured by PSMS scores.
  • Practices, encourages and promotes evidenced based medicine as measured by core measure scores and balanced score card.
  • Promotes care coordination as measured by participation in Case Management meetings and LOS and participation with other health care disciplines.
  • Encourages staff shared governance with staff participation in policy formulation and unit decision making.
  • Participation in recruitment selection and retention of unit personnel with staff participation in the hiring process.
  • Assures appropriate orientation education, credentialing - continuing professional development for staff.
  • Evaluates staff performance.
  • Participates in planning and monitoring of budget for all units.
  • Fosters a climate conducive to educational experiences for nursing and other students.
  • Evaluates and improves the quality of nursing care provided.
  • Evaluates and improves the safety of nursing care provided as measured by fall rate, pressure ulcer rate and infections  (UTI, BSI, VAP)
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with medical staff.

Job Requirements

BS in Nursing required.
Current RN license issued by the state of North Carolina.
BCLS required
