The Financial Analyst, IRM Analytics provides financial analysis and analytics support to operations and financial operations, and across the entire Integrated Revenue Management spectrum with a focus on Managed Care, Revenue Cycle, and Clinical Revenue Integrity. Creates and maintains various monthly/weekly reports, contract models, and ad hoc patient revenue analyses to support both the revenue cycle and managed care teams.

  • Collaborate with the Managed Care directors to model and report the financial impact of changes in contract terms or rates to allow the team to make informed decisions during negotiations with insurance payers.
  • Perform “what-if” with contract modeling for both managed care and physician’s services practices using Excel and/or Payment Integrity Compass (PIC).
  • Utilize models and several Business Intelligence (BI) tools to gather, manipulate, and analyze data to provide in-sight into the company its revenue cycle partners.  
  • Summarize reimbursement by payor, facility, insurance plan, etc., to analyze underpayments or various payment scenarios.
  • Design, develop, and deliver ad hoc reporting and data analysis for the Managed Care and Revenue Cycle departments. 
  • Redesign reporting processes, creating databases, and build reporting models requiring an understanding of business processes, reporting needs, and a very complex information system.  
  • Collaborate with the Managed Care directors to model and report the financial impact of changes in contract terms or rates to allow the team to make informed decisions during negotiations with insurance payers.
  • Analyze charge code volume to optimize charge-master increase revenue overall.
  • Coordinate work with IT department to validate the data loads to the warehouse to provide accurate physician's reporting to the Managed Care department.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the Payment Integrity Compass software for future modeling efforts.
  • Review and abstract contract term language that significantly impacts hospital reimbursement.
  • Update standard managed care and revenue cycle reports per their reporting schedule or as needed.
  • Assist with contract modeling for both managed care and physician’s services practices using Excel and/or PIC.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degere in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
