  • The Food Services Worker prepares cold food items for patients in accordance with established procedures to ensure food quality.
  • Maintains a routine stock level of diet and regular cold items for use at any time.
  • Tallies cold food items, assembles/garnished trays for patients and cafeteria customers for effective presentations.
  • Rotates labels and date of perishable foods to maintain freshness of products.
  • Prepares sandwiches and deserts for cafeteria clients; set up and clean salad bar and desert area of cafeteria line.
  • Serves cold food on tray assembly line.
  • Utilized established menu portion sizes and guidelines.
  • Plans layout of salad bar for attractiveness and variety.
  • Varies the selection on the salad bar to maintain a new and different level of appeal.
  • Tries new recipes and/or new salads for the salad bar being mindful of the cost per serving.
  • Serves hot food to cafeteria clients and guest utilizing standard portion control and appropriate techniques to maintain sanitation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


Experience in a food service industry preferred
