Person Memorial Hospital

1.             Program Administration: Administers various programs that comply with all applicable regulations and policies in support of Hospital initiatives.


•         Interprets and applies appropriate laws/regulations to program development and administration.


•         Compares the rules and regulations of Hospital programs with pertinent state and/or federal codes and laws to check for compliance.


•         Modifies existing programs in response to new standards and/or federal codes/laws.


•         Develops, implements, and monitors Hospital programs, which comply with state and federal standards and support Hospital mission.


•         Communicates program status to appropriate internal and external constituents.


•         Communicate with regulatory agencies, public officials, or industry experts to research or report hospital related issues.

            2.             Administration:  Performs administrative activities to ensure efficient and effective operations.


•         Evaluates the effectiveness of procedures, programs, and operations and makes recommendations for improvements.


•         Projects operational costs and recommends an appropriate budget to cover such costs.


•         Recommends modifications to departmental procedures and policies in response to changes in govern­ment regulations, Hospital policies and technical developments.


•         Evaluates quality of products/services to ensure acceptable levels and compliance with applicable regulations.

3.             Safety Program Administration: Administers various safety programs (e.g. fire protection) which comply with regulations, in support of Hospital-wide safety.


•         Interprets and applies appropriate laws/regulations to program development and administration.


•         Compares the rules and regulations of Hospital facilities or programs with pertinent state and/or federal codes and laws to check for compliance.


•         Modifies existing programs in response to new standards and/or federal codes/laws.


•         Develops, implements, and monitors Hospital safety programs, which comply with state and federal standards.


•         Ensures safety of all residents, visitors and staff.

4.             Infection Control and Employee Health Program Administration: Administers various infection control and employee health programs which comply with regulations.


•         Interprets and applies appropriate laws/regulations to program development and administration.


•         Compares the rules and regulations of Hospital programs with pertinent state and/or federal codes and laws to check for compliance.


•         Modifies existing programs in response to new standards and/or federal codes/laws.


•         Develops, implements, and monitors Hospital infection control and employee health programs which comply with state and federal standards.


•         Communicate with regulatory agencies, public officials, or industry experts to research or report hospital related issues.

5.         Safety:  Identifies potential safety hazards in work areas and takes appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others.


•         Identifies potential safety hazards or problems in work areas.


•         Takes appropriate measures for safety of self and others in work area.


•         Reports and/or communicates correct information concerning safety hazards to appropriate personnel.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

Successful completion of the Nursing Diploma Program or an Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school is required.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Licenses: Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nurse
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire or before the start of independent assignment.
Minimum Work Experience
Recommend 2-3 years of recent experience a healthcare setting.
