Located just north of the bustling urban areas of Raleigh and Durham and nestled among gently rolling hills,  Person Memorial Hospital is seeking a House Supervisor.  Person Memorial is a 110-bed Joint Commission-accredited Community Hospital.  To better serve its community, the hospital recently completed a renovation of its Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Surgical Suites, Laboratory and Specialty Care Clinic.


The House Supervisor utilizes the nursing process including; assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and recordings of patient care. Teaches, delegates, and supervises other nursing staff in the provision of care. Coordinates services with other members of the healthcare team to provide complex patient care. Practices within the scope of the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act and Person Memorial Hospital policies/procedures/standards.

  • Leads the patient and administrative activities of the assigned units.  
  • Provides clinical leadership
  • Demonstrates the ability to display a thorough nursing knowledge including assessments, treatment planning, discharge and admission procedures, medication distribution and medical care. 
  • Has demonstrated sound and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, good interpersonal skills, and good  interdepartmental relationships.

Job Requirements

Thisposition requires a minimum of 5 years clinical experience and at least 2 years of strong charge experience/management.


Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.


Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Successful completion of the Nursing Diploma Program or an Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school is required.

Registered Nurse License

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 90 days of hire.
