Job Description

Logan Memorial Hospital

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the critical care setting. Supports the patient and family in the dying process. Performs admission and subsequent assessments. Completes required documentation. Develops and/or revises the care plan. Competent in computer system. Participates in the daily operation of the ICU. Communicates with physicians about changes the patients clinical condition – includes hemdynamic status, results of diagnostic tests and symptomology. Is able to recognize quickly and accurately changes in patients condition or response to treatment. Initiates emergency procedures promptly. Collaborates with other professional staff to ensure optimal patient outcome

Job Requirements

MinimumQualifications:

Currentstate of Kentucky(or compact state) licensure.

CurrentBLS certification

CurrentACLS certification (or obtained within 6 month employment)

Minimumof 1 year nursing experience

Criticalthinking, communication and interpersonal relationship skills
