Job Description

Maria Parham Health in Henderson, NC is looking for a full-time RN for our ICU.  Our 8 bed ICU provides comprehensive and continuous care for critically-ill patients. Our holistic approach to nursing care also involves support for families and significant others. Recent upgrades, to our cardiac technology, has allowed us the ability to fully support our Intensive Care team of physicians, nurses and other specialists. Our 2-1 nurse to patient ratio allows our ICU team to deliver comprehensive and totally individualized care to each patient. The ICU nurses specialize in critical care nursing with an emphasis on cardiology, pulmonology, neurology and complex surgical cases. 

The ICU RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessment, planning, coordinating, providing, and evaluating total nursing care for patients based on current standards of practice/standards of care as appropriate to meet the patient's needs.  Takes into consideration the patient's age, cultural or religious needs, and effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health care team members.  Understands the needs of the organization, and supports the mission, vision, values and management of patient care services at Maria Parham Health.
