We are currently looking for a Laboratory Manager to join our team. HRMC offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including a sign on bonus!

  • The Manager oversees laboratory personnel in the performance of their routine duties, evaluates performance and competency, monitors quality control and proficiency testing, maintains the laboratory information system (LIS), and oversees the resolution of technical problems within the laboratory.
  • The Manager has appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the growth, development, and clinical needs of age specified populations.
  • In conjunction with the Director, the Manager will take measures to keep the laboratory running efficiently by developing and implementing quality controls programs, preparing technical reports on lab activity, and designing work schedules for personnel.
  • The Manager assists the Laboratory Director in ordering laboratory supplies and ensures supplies are properly stored, rotated, and utilized.
  •  The Manager organizes and prioritizes work in order to complete assigned duties competently and effectively and in a timely manner; observes principals of date security/patient confidentiality; assists in training of laboratory personnel; maintains a positive attitude, functions as a team player, interacts with other health-care workers to solve problems; attends and participates in department or organizational meetings as required.
  • The Manager will work tech bench assignments as assigned/required.
  • As a member of the laboratory administrative team, the Manager will focus on delivering superior customer service and physician relations.
  • The Manager may be assigned additional duties by the Laboratory Director on a temporary or ongoing basis.

Job Requirements

BS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience to satisfy the position’s requirements. Minimum 3-5 years of previous hospital MT/MLT experience required. At least 2 years of Lab Supervisory experience is preferred.

Each individual performing high complexity testing must—

(b) Meet one of the following requirements:
(1) …bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution;
(2)(i) Have earned an associate degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or-
(ii) Have education and training equivalent to that specified in paragraph (b)(2)(i) of this section that includes--and
(B) Have laboratory training that includes either of the following:
(1) Completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or Accredited by the ABHES, the CAHEA
BS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience to satisfy the position’s requirements
