Health Support Center

The Managing Engineer, Infrastructure Services is responsible for the standardization and operational optimization of specific Health Informatics & Technology Services (HITS) infrastructure services.  Leads team responsible for the build, design, maintenance, optimal performance and security infrastructure systems, tools and processes while acting as primary enterprise wide forward facing contact to all Health Support Center (HSC) and facility employees.

Other job duties include:   
  • Act as subject matter expert for more than one information system, tool or process providing expertise, guidance, and standardization across LifePoint as well as with acquired entities.
  • Serves as the escalation point for operational issues for HSC and facilities.
  • Understand strategic vision of HITS Infrastructure Services department and align system and / or application to support and advance vision and business objectives.
  • Partner with facility IT staff to bring resolution to any issues or escalations and to optimize application or system use.
  • Create and implement standard operating procedures and processes for the department and enforce departmental policy compliance.
  • Develop workflow and methodology process to support infrastructure system, tool or process.
  • Primary point of contact for strategic technology vendor relationships, ensure vendor accountability and alignment to business objectives. 
  • Understand and evaluate applicable risk associated with assigned information system, tool or process and provide guidance to leadership.
  • Provide business leadership support in areas of procurements, budget recommendations, and forecasting for specific information system, tool or process. 

Job Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; experience working in multi-facility healthcare information services department preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience required
  • Certifications dependent on area of expertise
