LifePoint Health has an opportunity for a Market President for the UP Health System, a 3 hospital system in upper Michigan.

UP Health System provides comprehensive healthcare for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan through its three hospitals and a number of physician practices.

UP Health System – Marquette, part of Duke LifePoint Healthcare, is the flagship hospital of the UP Health System. A new, 275 bed, 700,000 square foot hospital facility is opening in early June, 2019. The hospital provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services to residents from across the UP through its specialty care hospital and numerous physician practices. It is a federally-designated regional referral center for the UP and a Level II trauma center. As a teaching hospital, it has numerous affiliations with universities and community colleges throughout the state and the Midwest and is part of the Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Center through its collaboration with Northern Michigan University. The hospital is also home to the UP Telehealth Network, a leading telehealth network in the U.S

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Market President reports to Division Leadership. 

Functions at an executive level leader for the organization and must be highly skilled building strategic alliances within the organization and community.

Drives performance and increases market share in assigned hospital assets through exceptional leadership skills.

Creates strategic direction for the market, while providing operational oversight and insight to ensure business objectives are met. 

Holds hospital leadership accountable and ensures market and hospitals have the right talent to achieve objectives. 

Executes on LifePoint’s quality initiatives, service line development and implementations while capitalizing on market synergies related to strategic and operational opportunities.

Coordinates and drives implementation of company initiatives. 

Represents LifePoint in the marketplace.

Job Requirements

Education: Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Management or related field is required. 

Experience: Minimum 15 broad range of experience in hospital operations.
