Job Description

Palestine Regional Medical Center

Provides emotional support, physical comfort and safety for patients. Observes, reports, and properly documents systems, reactions, and progress of patients to appropriate team members. Participates as a member of multidisciplinary team. Provides basic nursing care functions such as vital signs, specimen collection, weights, feeding patients, and assists patients with activities of daily living. Documents per hospital policy. Communicates well with patients, families, co-workers and physicians.

Weekends Rotate

Job Requirements

High school graduate or GED required. Previous experience in psychiatric hospital setting preferred; previous experience in direct patient care preferred. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire; training in "Handle With Care" required

within 60 days of hire.
