Nurse Tech - FT - Nights -Medical & Surgical position available.
 Core Competencies for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Provides for the individual rights of patients.
  • Provides direct observation of the patient’s physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs as they relate to the patient’s age.
  • Provides appropriate nursing care based on the individual patient’s needs, as directed by the RN/LPN.
  • Provides healthcare education, as directed by the RN/LPN, to patients and/or families in response to identified educational needs.
  • Provides continuity of care by enlisting the services of other healthcare team members to plan a timely and trouble-free discharge to the level of care appropriate to the patient’s condition.
  • Manages the patient’s care to ensure patient safety.
  • Manages the patient’s environment of care and care unit to ensure environmental safety.
  • Manages time and supplies efficiently to ensure cost-effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Communicates pertinent information to appropriate individuals in the management of nursing care.
  • Accurately document the activities of patient care in the patient record in a complete and timely manner.
  • Possesses necessary knowledge of patient information systems, equipment use/cleaning/trouble-shooting, and isolation techniques to ensure availability of information, safe equipment use, and appropriate infection control.

Job Requirements

Qualifications for the position:

  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Nursing student or Completion of a licensed nursing assistant program, preferred
  • Experience: Recent acute care preferred
