Job Description for CNA II - Rehab:
  1. Performs and exhibits sound judgments and technical skills as assigned.  Documents hourly rounds, intake and output, foley care and activities of daily living.  Functions as a dependable and cooperative member of the nursing staff.
  2. Ensures comfort and safety of patients at all times, observing and reporting to nurse any pertinent observations about the patient’s condition.  Follows isolation precaution as determined by hospital policy.
  3. Assists in preparing patients for surgery and diagnostic tests; assists with post-operative care; transports patients when necessary.
  4. Accurately takes vital signs, weights, and measurements and records in MediLinks, and reports any changes to the responsible nurse.
  5. Assists with taking care of department/hospital equipment, putting in work orders when repair is required.
  6. Accurately completes patient glucose monitoring under supervision of licensed personnel.
  7. Appropriately discontinues IV’s/heplocks under supervision of licensed personnel.
  8. Follows appropriate procedure for insertion and discontinuation of a foley catheter under supervision of licensed personnel.
  9. Consistently uses appropriate technique and follows facility procedure in dressing changes that require sterile technique.

Job Requirements

Current NA II licensure issued by the State of North Carolina.
Must maintain NAI licensure with the Division of Facility Services in the state of North Carolina.
BLS Certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
