The Office Manager is responsible for organizing and coordinating office procedures, operations, and resources to make the office operate effectively and efficiently.  This position oversees the process of patient registration, triage, examination, treatment, and checkout, ensuring superior customer service. The Office Manager develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained while controlling payroll costs. This position is responsible for managing the facility assuring appearance, cleanliness, safety, as well as compliance with policies and protocols, in all areas, including HR, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.

Job Requirements

Associate / bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Medical Terminology; ICD-10 coding; CPT-4 coding. 
Able to perform all job functions. Minimum of five years management experience in health care organization. Demonstrated leadership ability. Minimum of two years’ experience in physician’s office.  Five years office practice management experience in lieu of degree.  Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.  Knowledge of Meaningful Use and Patient Centered Medical Home a plus.
Technical Skills
Understanding of medical billing and coding; ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding. Excellent Computer/software skills including experience with EMR systems and with working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point. Proficiency in verbal and written communication, ability to work in stressful environment and ability to multi-task; Demonstrated ability to exercise independent initiative, problem solving, and decision making. Flexible with work assignments and schedule. Demonstrates initiative working in a team environment. Demonstrates ability to be self-directed with little supervision as well as excellent customer service skills.
