POSITION SUMMARY:

The Team Lead, Provider Enrollment is responsible for managing and providing oversight to a team in areas such as training, credentialing, and maintaining enrollment work flow processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. 

  • Create training material, PowerPoint presentations, and collaborate on the creation of enrollment policies and procedures and checklists used by the Specialists and within the department.

  • Provide oversight and audit the quality of work produced by the team ensuring established processes and proce-dures are followed.

  • Complete administration functions within the payer enrollment system.

  • Onboard, train, assist, coach and mentor new Specialists on department and Company specific processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Update provider enrollment system with new practitioner applications and re-appointment applications to reflect accurate report data.

  • Function as content expert and resource to PE Specialists. Address provider issues per escalation policy.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Exhibit an understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).  Skilled in the application of poli-cies and procedures.  Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise the work of others, including planning, assigning and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring qual-ity standards, training staff and overseeing productivity. May offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments, but do not have final responsibility for making these decisions.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years third party payer or provider credentialing

Skills and Abilities:

Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and in-terpret graphs.

Moderate Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.

Moderate Communication -- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.

Business Problems -- Problems encountered are non-routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by follow-ing clear directions and procedures, but may require additional research and contact with market manager.

Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or hospital environment.

Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
