Person Memorial Hospital

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medicationadministration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as othermedical care treatment.
  • Documentspatient care given.
  • Monitors,records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team,physician, patient, and family.
  • Assistspatients with performing activities of daily living, including personalhygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaboratesas needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patienttransfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluateslearning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family educationappropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Worksas an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Worksclosely and professionally with all departments in an effort to maintain ateamwork approach
  • Servesas a mentor when training new employees in the various functional activitiesrequired for all patient types.
  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct”philosophy and Mission and Value statement of the Hospital.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Education:  Successfulcompletion of the Nursing Diploma Program or an Associates Degree in Nursingfrom an accredited school is required.
  • Bachelor’sdegree is preferred.
  • RequiredSkills Requirescritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work withminimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and takeappropriate action. Licenses: Registered Nurse License
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) isrequired upon hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and PediatricAdvance Life Support (PALS) is required within 90 days of hire.
  • MinimumWork Experience: Recommend2-3 years of recent experience a healthcare setting.
