The Revenue Integrity Manager is responsible for coordinating and organizing activities for all Patient Financial regulatory and compliance regulations. The Revenue Integrity Manager is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and auditing every aspect of the revenue cycle. The revenue cycle begins with scheduling and registration, and follows with charge capture, coding and documentation. The process then flows to billing and collections. This position will audit activities along the revenue cycle, helping to ensure that processes are in place to create the most complete and correct outcome possible. This position will also help to ensure that the correct reimbursement is gained from various third party payers performing charge review, chart reviews, audits, and clinical / financial appeals and providing education and guidance to practitioners and other team members. Also assists the Regional Service Center Director, Patient Access Director, Health Information Director and Hospital Administration with the operational activities of the Recovery Audit Program

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.

Bachelor’s degree in business preferred, healthcare, nursing or related field experience.

Required Skills

Coding certification (e.g. CCS, RHIA, RHIT) or applicable experience is preferred.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Demonstrated customer service skills, excellent written and oral communication. Strong independent decision makes using analytical and problem solving skills.

Minimum Work Experience

6 years healthcare experience in audit or coding is required, clinical experience preferred.
