Job Description: 

  • Performs accurate interqual reviews based on thephysician’s order for level of care
  • Notifies the PA in a timely manner if a patient does notmeet admission criteria
  • Enters observation hours on the Observation Log  in a timely manner
  • Avoidable days are documented appropriately in e/care
  • Holds PCCmeetings, documents team note in chart and keeps a weekly team attendance sheet
  • Places a note re: the patient’s discharge plan in themultidisciplinary section at least every 3 days
  • Communicates as requested to insurance companies re:patients clinical status
  • Participates in the weekly Complex Case Review Meeting
  • Assist SW or D/C Planner with distributing the dischargecopy of the MCL, completingadmission assessments and working with patients and families to plan a safe andtimely discharge.
  • Notify the physician to facilitate discharge when patientdoes not meet admission or continued stay criteria 

Job Requirements

Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina
