Job Title                        Registered Nurse-ICU in Sanford, NC

Job Summary               Central Carolina Hospital, along with Duke LifePoint are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to work in our 8 bed Intensive Care Unit.  With more than 120 physicians and more than 600 employees, the hospital offers a wide range of specialties.  Central Carolina Hospital is nestled in the heart of central North Carolina and is located only 40 minutes southwest of Raleigh, the state capitol, and just 40 minutes from the gates of Fort Bragg Military base.  Our facility will allow you to use, sharpen and add to your nursing skills without having to commute to a large city environment.

Responsibilities           As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be seeing, treating, and providing quality care to the patients of our community ranging from infancy to geriatric.  These patients may suffer from croup, asthma, pneumonia, COPD, and respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation. You may also encounter patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, and kidney disease requiring Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT). Septic patients are not uncommon in the ICU as well.  We do it all!!

                                         Interested nurses should be prepared to work three 12-hour shifts each week which include every other weekend, as well as rotational holidays.

                                        Each shift will run from 7A-7P or 7PM-7AM.  Additional shifts are available for those seeking more hours.

Pay and Benefits         Our Nurse Pay Scale starts at $21.75/hour and increases with each year of experience.  We also provide a variety of generous shift differential pays.

Job Requirements

Qualifications              Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current NC or compact state RN license

ICU experience is PREFERRED

Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment

Ability to make quick sound decisions

CPR certification required and provided.  ACLS, PALS required

TNVV is recommended

Willing to be part of a Teaching and Learning environment
