Job Description
Wilson Medical CenterUnder the direct supervision of the Radiation Therapy Manager and general supervision of the Radiology/Radiation Oncology Director, Chief Nursing Officer and according to established policies and procedures. Provides professional nursing care to those patients being evaluated, treated and followed by the Department of Radiation Therapy. Coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient/family advocate, and works with other nursing and ancillary personnel as required. Work is of a very confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.
Job Requirements
- Graduation from a Nursing Education program and current NC or
multistate RN licensure required.
- One to two years of professional nursing experience.
- The employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and
react effectively to the unique needs of patients served.
- CPR certification required and provided.
