1.   Build and setup schedules for all providers in our practice in the  Athena  Health  System.

2.  Schedule appointments for patients.

3.   Reschedule appointments for all providers when they need time off or will be out.

4.   Ensure all schedules are at  maximum capacity to  maintain efficient  workflow.

S. Answer phone calls and direct them to appropriate person.

6. Scan all pharmacy prior authorizations approvals and denials into patients charts.

7.  Handle all collections of past due debts. Set up payment plans for patients to ensure amount is paid in full.

8. Scan in all pathology reports, consult and operative notes from the prison patients.

9.  Call  patients to  remind  them  of their upcoming appointments.

10.  Work closely with local physician's offices to schedule urgent patient consults and hospital discharges and  local  nursing homes.

11.  I do all no show patients if they were referrals I send no show letters back to the primary care doctors to  let them  know.

12.          Manage  and distribute  Dr.Dubinski's on call schedule and send to   hospital.

13.  When other doctor's offices call asking about patients upcoming appointments ,I provide this information and any other details needed.

14.  When referral person is out, I cover her position by handling all incoming referrals from physician's offices and schedule appointments,  then  I send  appointment  date and  time  back to primary care providers. When doing this you have to call patients 3 days if you don't get them  the  first  time to  schedule appointments


I print weekly schedules and look every patient up, so if they owe a balance I tell them how  much they  have to  pay on  balance when they come in for appointment.

I add new patients to system and put all demographics, address, phone numbers, insurance information in on patients.

When front desk person is out, I cover her position by checking patients in and out, and scanning all new patients id, insurance cards in collecting co pay's, ( cash, checks, running credit cards) and updating demographics into system. I may have to call insurance companies to verify co pays and eligibility some times. Prepare and print all forms for patients. I have to open all doors and turn on lights for open business and then close it all up at end of day. I balance all monies from credit card machine, cash and checks at the end of day.


Keep up with how many pts are scheduled and how many are seen a day and report to office manager on a calendar for her to keep up with number of patients that are seen daily.


Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
