The Senior Technical Operations Analyst, Physician Services is responsible for detailed testing, technical prepara-tion and support of LifePoint-supported revenue cycle systems within the physician practice settings and exe-cutes technical deployment and application upgrades as directed, focused on technical readiness for deployments, optimization, and upgrades. Serves as subject matter expert for revenue cycle systems functionality.

  • Aid in testing and deployment of new functionality related to system enhancements which improve the end user experience and maintains financial integrity of the revenue cycle systems.

  • Participate in developing test plans for upgrades and installations, and analyze changes in production designs for revenue cycle functions.  

  • Create and maintain documentation related to new technology and new functionality, process, and workflows related to revenue cycle.

  • Coordinate and work with technical services, Hospital IT staff, and end users to troubleshoot system related issues.

  • Manage the relationship with multiple vendors and end users to triage and troubleshoot revenue cycle system issues and documents through a ticketing system.

  • Provide consistent documentation on the status of all projects and assure supervisors are aware of risks, delays, and issues.

  • Maintain working knowledge of workflow, systems, and tools used in the revenue cycle department

  • Analyze and resolve Revenue Cycle escalated customer and/or technical issues/problems in a timely and effective manner.  May act as an individual contributor or knowledge expert for the more complex or difficult is-sues/problems.  Exercise judgment and act appropriately within defined regulations, client requirements, policies and procedures for properly handling issues/problems.

  • Act as central point of contact and client services liaison for the Revenue Cycle department and its related activi-ties and areas of support.  Ensure effective communication occurs within HSC and between HSC and custom-ers/clients.

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency.

Experience: Minimum 5 years related medical practice revenue cycle experience. eCW, Athena, CBO experience preferred.

Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and in-terpret graphs.

Moderate Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.
