Job Description:
  1. Confirms patient identity per departmental/ hospital policy.
  2. Transports patients and supplies to designated areas.
  3. Utilizes Patient Tracking system appropriately.
  4. Performs duties following appropriate safety/ infection control practices.
  5. Maintains and cleans transportation equipment.
  6. Assists nursing staff with transferring patients from stretcher/ wheelchair to bed.
  7. Responds to transport requests in a timely manner.
  8. Follows departmental procedure in transportation of patients using 02tanks.
  9. Works collaboratively with other staff to provide continuous service.

Job Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
Must obtain CPR certification within six months and maintain thereafter.
Good driving record as verified by MVR.
