The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasonography exams and procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury. Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Graduate from an Accredited Program in one or more medical imaging modalities as described below. Certified/licensed in good standing with appropriate professional registry. Ultrasound: Must be RDMS.(Or a graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program and RDMS examination eligible. Must become ARDMS Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 12 months of hire, or within 18 months for new graduates). Basic Life Support (BLS). Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Preferred: 1+ years of experience as a registered technologist in the appropriate modality.
