Job Summary  
Manages all underpayment data analysis and recovery collections processes, includes the verification of the accuracy of the calculated contractual adjustments and analyzing payment discrepancies to determine root causes.  

Job Responsibilities
  • Assists with development specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization 
  • Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.  Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitments, and payroll.
  • Monitors departmental regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations.  Determines and justifies needs for departmental purchases and monitors supply usage.
  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Resolution of underpayment discrepancies timely and within organizational policies.
  • Perform regular department trending and month/year ending reporting activities.
  • Coordination with payors to resolve trended discrepancy issues.

Job Requirements

Education
Bachelor's degree required

Minimum Required Work Experience
Five (5) years healthcare revenue cycle experience, two (2) year of supervisory

Required Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
