Memorial Medical Center

Provides Interventional procedures according to establishedprotocols or physician's special instructions.  Provides diagnostic imagesof anatomic structures and records physiologic data utilizing ionizingradiation, giving the utmost attention to the needs of the patient and familywith limited direct supervision.  Provides service to patients throughoutthe life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.


Scopeof practice entails all aspects of support for the physician duringinterventional procedures - including scrubbing in to assist the physician in asterile environment to the production of radiographs utilizing radiographic andfluoroscopic equipment located in the Interventional Lab as well as the mainRadiology Department, and all portable x-ray units.


Job Requirements

MinimumEducation: High School Diploma or GED.  Graduate of an approvedtwo-year program in Radiologic Technology.


Minimum Experience: Graduate Technologist - ARRTregistered.  Six months of experience and/or training in modality ofInterventional/Vascular studies is preferred.


Certification/Licensure: Holds and maintains currentregistry certificate of the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists.  Holds and maintains current New Mexico State Certificateas a Radiographic Radiologic Technologist.  Certification in CV -Cardiovascular-Interventional (ARRT) is preferred.  Current CPRcertification.
