Job Summary:

Organizes and conducts a medically prescribed physical therapy program designed to aid patients in reaching their maximum functional ability.  Possesses appropriate education, experience, and training to assure competency as delineated in the “Age Specific Competence Assessment”.  As do all therapists, serves as a supervisor to clinical support staff whose skill and knowledge to evaluate performance of staff members against criteria stated in the job description. Evaluates, plans, and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to patients.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:

•         Must possess current state license to practice physical therapy.

•         CPR certification.

•         Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in physical therapy or Bachelor’s Degree with completion of the Physical Therapy Certification curriculum from accredited college or university.

 

Minimum Work Experience:

•         None.

 

Licenses/Certifications:

•         Licensure by the state of Georgia by the Physical Therapy Board.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

•         Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.

•         CPR certification required.

•         Must be able to operate transportation devices, tilt tables and physical therapy modalities and equipment.
