HighPoint - Livingston Regional Hospital

This position is responsible for coordinating patient care and managing nursing personnel during assigned shifts.  Assess patient and staffing needs; plans, implements and evaluates quality of patient care.  To provide management of supply and demand of beds and effectively monitors throughput and capacity. Contributes to the efficient overall operation of Nursing Service.  Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth.  Functions within the framework of policies and procedures of LRH and within the legal framework of the State of Tennessee.  Is a representative of nursing and hospital administration and has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of Chief Nursing Officer or Administrator on call.

Job Requirements

  • Education:  Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor of Science 
  • Experience:  A minimum of three years nursing experience is required.  Experience as a charge nurse or nurse manager is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Tennessee or compact state RN licensure required. BLS certification from approved American Heart Association training center required upon hire. ACLS & PALS certifications from approved American Heart Association training center must be obtained within 6 months of employment

  • Skills:  Must have good physical and mental health.  The ability to work well under pressure at a fast pace for extended periods of time, and the exceptional ability to deal with the public and meet their needs, is required.  Must demonstrate leadership, managerial ability and the application of good interpersonal relationships.  Ability to apply basic nursing knowledge to all settings in the hospital.
