We want you on our team...Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, an 18 minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a full-time, State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) or Nurse Tech to join our Outpatient Services/PACU area where under the supervision of an RN you will perform basic patient care activities.

Essential functions for position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
  • Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
  • Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
  • Provides directions and assists families. Safely transports inpatients and outpatients for their procedures and discharge from the unit.
  • Performs clerical duties, organizes charts, obtains patient information as needed such as labs, EKG's, H&P's, assists RN's to meet the needs of the patients.
  • Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Places orders, coordinates aspects of care with other departments, calls codes, and pages as requested.
  • Enters nursing requests subject to the approval of a licensed nurse. Asks for clarification when necessary.
  • Assists to coordinate patient flow within the department. Serves as a resource to other departments to ensure surgical and endoscopy patient flow. Assembles and maintains patient records and charts.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Job Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required

Certifications:

  • Current valid Kentucky State Registered Nurse Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant certification, Preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), required - American Heart Assoc.
