Stock Room Clerk Position

  • Assists with preparing food and beverages for distribution to patients, guests, service/dining areas,
    and catering services.
  • Stores food, beverages, and supplies in designated containers and areas according to policies and procedures.
  • Assists with customer-facing duties as assigned, including tray delivery and catering special events.
  • Assists with sanitation duties, including dishwashing and maintaining work and food service areas in a clean,
    safe, and orderly condition.
  • Responsible for receiving all deliveries of stock from vendors. Checks all stock to determine that quality
    meets established standards.
  • Check invoice to assure that we receive all items we are billed for. Compares invoice with purchase order
    to assure receiving everything that was ordered.
  • Stores all stock received in appropriate storage area.
    Follows FIFO method of rotation, labels and dates all products as required.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records including item, vendor name, current price, amount received and amount
    on hand.
    Make a list of items as they drop below par level so they can be reordered.
  • Responsible for keeping all storage and walk-in coolers and refrigerators in a clean and sanitary environment
    according to established policies.
  • Work as a diet aide as needed.
  • Responsible for removing trash from kitchen prior to end of shift, cleans trash bins on a daily basis.
  • Follows job flows to ensure timeliness, accuracy and completion of all job duties.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent -Required

Required Skills:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
